Terms of Service

Last updated October 1, 2026 · Questions? hello@blurty.app

These terms are an agreement between you and Gabriel Nejad, an individual based in North Carolina, USA ("we"), who runs Blurty. By using Blurty you agree to them. Questions: hello@blurty.app.

Plans

  • Free trial: 7 days of everything, no card needed. One trial per Mac.
  • Free: after the trial, up to 2,000 dictated words a week.
  • Pro: $5.99 a month or $47.99 a year (plus any tax), on up to 3 Macs. If you subscribed at an earlier price, you keep it.
  • Students: 35% off Pro for 12 months with a verified school email. You can renew the discount by verifying again.

Billing

Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Blurty › Settings › Plan › Manage billing; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. If we ever change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Fair use

Please don't:

  • try to get around the free trial, plan limits or licensing (for example by faking Mac IDs or creating accounts in bulk);
  • share, resell or redistribute Blurty or your license;
  • attack, overload, probe or reverse-engineer our servers;
  • use Blurty to break the law or harm others.

We may suspend accounts that do.

Your content

What you dictate is yours. We don't claim any rights to it, and by default it never reaches us (see the privacy policy). You are responsible for what you dictate and where you send it.

Third-party services

Optional features that connect to other services (like Deepgram or Claude) use your own accounts with those services and their terms. We aren't responsible for them.

No warranty

Blurty is provided "as is." Speech recognition and AI editing make mistakes, so check important text before you send it. We don't promise Blurty will always be available, error-free, or right for your purpose.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (like lost data, profits or business), and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

Ending

You can stop using Blurty at any time. We may end these terms if you break them; if we discontinue Blurty, we'll refund the unused part of any yearly plan.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users before it takes effect. Continuing to use Blurty after that means you accept the new terms.

Made for Mac
