FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is Blurty free?

Every Mac gets a 7-day free trial of everything, with no card needed. After that, the free plan includes 2,000 dictated words a week, or Blurty Pro is $5.99 a month, or $3.99 a month billed yearly ($47.99), for unlimited use.

Does Blurty work in every app?

Yes. If you can type there, you can talk there: email, chat, documents, notes, code editors and web pages.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 13 Ventura or newer. There is no Intel build.

Is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. Speech is transcribed on your Mac and the audio is thrown away. Blurty never stores your recordings, and by default your voice and words never leave your Mac.

Is there a student discount?

Yes. Verify a school email in Blurty › Settings › Plan and get 35% off Pro for 12 months.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes. Cancel from Blurty › Settings › Plan and keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.

How many Macs can I use it on?

One Blurty Pro subscription covers up to 3 of your Macs.
